Frequently asked questions
I’ve never been to therapy. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Many of my clients are new to therapy. In our first session, I’ll explain how it works and answer your questions, and we’ll decide together what to focus on. We’ll go at your pace.
Who do you work with?
Adults 18 and older, in person in Boise or by telehealth anywhere in Idaho.
Do you offer a free consultation?
I don’t offer a separate consultation call. After you request a session, I’ll reach out to answer your questions and find a time. Our first session is about getting to know you and deciding together whether we’re a good fit.
Do you offer telehealth and evening appointments?
Yes. Telehealth anywhere in Idaho, in person in Boise, with evening times available.
How soon will I hear back?
Within two business days, usually one.
What if my insurance isn’t listed?
I can give you a superbill, an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Call your plan and ask about out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for therapy sessions.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged an $80 fee, which insurance doesn’t cover.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes, with a few legal exceptions, like a risk of serious harm. We’ll go over them in our first session.
How long will I be in therapy?
It depends on what brings you in. Some people come for a few months to work through something specific. Others stay longer for deeper work. We’ll set goals together and check in regularly on how it’s going.
What’s the difference between therapy and your soul work?
Therapy is licensed mental health treatment and can be billed to insurance. Soul Sessions and intuitive coaching are spiritual and coaching services, offered separately and not billed to insurance.
What if I’m in crisis?
I don’t provide crisis care. Call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
